Privacy Policy

Who we are
Snaparc is a desktop product of LeVo Technologies (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how we handle information when you use the Snaparc app and visit getsnaparc.com or snaparc.app.
Snaparc is built for developers and creators who need to reclaim disk space offline. We design the product so that your projects, caches, and archives stay under your control on your machine.
Summary
- No account is required to use Snaparc.
- Scans, paths, sizes, risk labels, project indexes, history, and archives are processed and stored on your device.
- We do not upload your file contents, project source, or scan results to our servers.
- Purchases are handled by our merchant of record.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Information processed on your device
Snaparc runs locally. Depending on how you use the app, it may read and store on your computer:
- Known cache and tooling folders (paths, sizes, last-used times, and risk labels)
- Project folders you add or that Snaparc indexes (name, type, size, last used, reclaimable bytes)
- Library folders you choose for large-file and duplicate scans (paths, sizes, media hints, and content hashes used only to group identical files)
- Settings such as project roots, library extras, pack excludes, and pin preferences
- Local history of cleans, packs, and related actions
- License key and device seat state stored for activation
The project index, settings, and history are kept in a local SQLite database on your machine. Archives you create (`.snaparc` files) are ordinary files written to a destination you choose. They include a manifest and checksums so you can verify restoration later. Those archives are not sent to us.
We do not receive your source code, media assets, archive payloads, or the contents of folders Snaparc scans.
Permissions and system access
To measure disk use and pack or restore projects, Snaparc needs permission to read (and, when you confirm an action, write or move) files in locations you point it at. Cleaning moves selected known cache folders to your system Trash after a preview; packing leaves the original project in place. Duplicate merge permanently deletes copies you explicitly select to remove.
Snaparc refuses certain protected system paths. You remain responsible for reviewing selections before confirming a clean, pack, unpack, or merge.
Purchases and licenses
Payments are processed by our merchant of record and payment processor. When you buy Snaparc, they collect and process payment and billing details under their own privacy policy. We do not store your full payment card information on our systems.
The listed price is $32 USD before tax. Our merchant of record calculates and collects VAT, GST/HST, or sales tax where applicable at checkout based on your location. That tax is charged in addition to the $32 price and remitted by the merchant of record.
License keys you enter in the app are stored on your device. The app may send your license key and a device identifier to our licensing service so we can enforce the device limit for your license. That information is used only for license validation and seat management.
Website and analytics
Our marketing site at getsnaparc.com and product notes at snaparc.app do not currently use advertising trackers, and we do not sell personal information collected through the site.
Hosting and delivery of the website may produce standard server logs (such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL) held by our hosting provider for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to build advertising profiles.
If we add website analytics, we will use a privacy-focused provider that does not rely on advertising cookies (for example Plausible or Fathom). We will update this policy if that changes.
Software updates
When auto-update is enabled, Snaparc may check a release feed for newer Folio builds. That check typically includes your current version and platform so we can offer the correct installer. Update downloads come from our release infrastructure or related CDNs. You can turn auto-update off in Settings.
How we use information
We use information only to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Snaparc
- Process purchases and deliver license keys
- Validate licenses and manage device seats
- Deliver optional in-app updates
- Respond to support requests you send us
- Meet legal, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations where required
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers needed to operate Snaparc (such as our merchant of record for checkout and licensing, and hosting providers for the website and updates), when you ask us to, or when required by law.
Retention
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall Snaparc. Archives you create remain at the locations you chose until you delete them. Purchase and license records held by our merchant of record are retained according to their policies and as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, and customer support.
Security
Because most Snaparc data never leaves your device, the primary control is your own machine’s access controls and backups. For purchases and licensing, we rely on our merchant of record’s security practices. No method of electronic storage or transmission is perfectly secure; if you believe your license or purchase account has been compromised, contact us promptly.
Children
Snaparc is intended for adults and professional use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
International users
Snaparc may be used worldwide. Purchase and license processing by our merchant of record may involve transferring data across borders under their terms and safeguards. Local app data stays on the device where you install Snaparc.
Your choices
You can uninstall Snaparc at any time to remove local app data from your device (archives you saved elsewhere are not removed by uninstall). You can clear local history and adjust roots and excludes in Settings. For purchase, receipt, or license questions, contact us at support@snaparc.app.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Email us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Latest update” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of Snaparc or the website after an update means you accept the revised policy. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to highlight them on this page.
